VITREO-RETINA SERVICES

The retina is like the film in a camera. It is the seeing tissue of the eye. When the focused light hits the retina, a picture is created and sent to the brain through the optic nerve (the nerve of the eye), thus giving us vision.
Retina has two parts: The peripheral retina and central macula. Macula being the central part is capable of producing a sharp and clear image. These clear images enable us to read, write, and do all fine work.
The Vitreo-retina service Rushabh Eye Hospital & Laser Centre is fully equipped with the most advanced diagnostic tools and treatment modalities to deal with the management of diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, ARMD, infections, trauma, and various other retinal disorders.

FACILITIES AVAILABLE

DIGITAL FUNDUS FLUOROSCIEN ANGIOGRAPHY (FFA)

A test to detect various Retinal conditions like Diabetic Retinopathy, Diseases of the Retinal Blood Vessels, Age Related Macular Degeneration by imaging the blood vessels of the retina. A special dye, sodium fluorescein, is injected and pictures are then taken as the dye passes through the blood vessels in the retina.

OPTICAL COHERANCE TOMOGRAPHY (OCT)

OCT can measure retinal thickness precisely and repeatedly. It gives information about the different layers of the retina and their involvement in disease. It can measure minute changes, making it ideal for follow-ups in retinal diseases, such as diabetes.

ULTRASONOGRAPHY (B-SCAN)

This procedure involves the use of high frequency sound waves to examine the eye. It is very useful when the view of the retina is obscured like in a cataract.

OTHER FACILITIES INCLUDE

GREEN (ARGON) LASER

This Laser system is used for the treatment of various conditions such as Diabetic Retinopathy, Retinal vein occlusions, ARMD, and other vascular diseases of the retina. The laser is done as OPD Procedure.

INDIRECT OPHTHALMOSCOPIC LASER DELIVERY SYSTEM (LIO)

This Laser system is mainly used for peripheral retinal lesions in patients with retinal holes, tears, high myopia, lattice degeneration, etc.

RETINAL DETACHMENT

AGE RELATED MACULAR DEGENERATION

DIABETES & EYE CARE

UVEITIS
