  • Patients with conditions like HIV, Hepatitis B/C, Encephalitis, Septicemia etc, cannot donate eyes. Your physician or eye doctor will guide you for the same.
  • After death, the eyes should be kept closed, and covered with a moist cloth. If there is a fan above the body please switch it off. Raise the head by placing a pillow underneath the neck.
  • Obtain the death certificate from the physician.
  • Call 1919 immediately. It is preferable to complete the procedure within 6-8 hours after death.
